learnt something new.
today's lesson came from Shi Yun during Entrepreneurship class.
she was wearing a Giordano t-shirt which says "Remember Lot's Wife: Avoid The Backward Glance".
our tutor, has that habit of reading t-shirts and then she asked if we knew about the story of Lot's wife.
we all said no, and we didn't know who Lot is.
so she explained that Lot is a character from the Old Testament.
think in Islam he's Prophet Lut.

this Lot and his family were the only good people in the two towns called Sodom and Gomorrah.
people from these two towns were very unethical.
and so since Lot and his family were the only good ones,
God told Lot to leave the two towns with his family.
God added that as they leave, they should never turn back.

as they were running out of the town, Lot's wife turned back and saw the destruction God imposed on the wrongdoers.
she then turned into a pillar of salt.

so, the story has 2 lessons in it actually.
1. always listen to God 'cause whatever he tells you is for your own good.

but anyways,
i'm more moved by the second moral of the story.

2. sometimes in life, we shouldn't look back on our past 'cause it's best kept that way - left behind.

this is one advice i'm gonna listen to from now on.
today's a day best left untouched in the future.
i don't want to ruin things anymore with the past.
