TRUE LOVE HAPPENS TO UGLY PEOPLE, ONLY.

thank you Tracy for the suggestion as i was in dire need to blog in order to pre-occupy myself.

True Love
true; sincere.
love; a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.

you'll obviously know when you're in love.
i mean, you start doing stupid things.
like thinking about the other person, getting nervous before meeting the other person.
some people just take it notch higher within seconds of dating and already making promises to last a lifetime.
wise words from Jo that will constantly pop up in my head like a stinger, "never take a man's word when he's truly happy or truly sad".
'cause they're engulfed in the moment, you make promises you wished you hadn't, you say things you wished you didn't.
but what's the use of remorse? the damage is already done.

i don't understand, why can't anyone ever keep their promises.
what happened to the age of men where a man's word would be as good as written in stone?
has everyone forgotton the value of trust?
is there anyone out there who remembers the minute, yet supreme importance in a promise?

love is a feeling.
like anger, it will not last.
like happiness, it fades fast.
will it be like loneliness, where it haunts?
will it be like sadness, where it taunts?
people who are only temporarily infatuated, will leave.
failing the test of time, tolerance, and the simple journeys of life.
for some, cowardice prevails when they no longer can withstand the mundane repetitive boring lives.
but i admire those who stay true to one another, overcoming adversities.
some, just even staying when life gets as straight and boring as it could be.
no doubt, someone will fall down once in awhile.
that is inevitable, we are only human.
it is nice when we help one another pick ourselves up after a downfall, not blame each other for it.

i notice, the fruits of a couple's labour are ever so sweet, after sailing through treacherous seas together.
i will not disagree that this reward is only temporary, and that it will run out.
in life, the shortcomings last longer than the good tidings.
that's because life doesn't end there.
doesn't mean the both of you sat in a storm's eye, the journey ends there.
no.
a reward is what it is, a reward.
a morale booster, to keep you going to the real ending - death.
it's how you savour every moment of every triumphant victory over life's little traps that decides how much further you go in the next leg.

life keeps throwing problems at you.
one after another.
that's why you have to keep solving, going, running.
life will only stop when you're dead.
and only when you're dead, you can stop solving, going, running.

i believe any pair can go through life with a breeze, with an occasional downfall.
but what makes it so difficult sometimes is the person you're with.
life actually isn't that hard to live.
it's the ego, frustration, temperaments of the other person that make it so unbearable for you.
but if you really believe in the other person and in the companionship, i believe that there's not a thing in the world a person wouldn't do for his partner.

i just realised that such a failure this post has turned out to be.
i've steered far off course from the topic.
but i couldn't help myself.
i have only one person in my thoughts.
