it was cold and the breeze fairly strong, but it felt nothing close to hostile.
the black sky, which merged together with the grey waters, was lit with the spotlight of the moon. never before have i seen my own shadow in the darkness of night. wisps of white clouds passed the moon, dimming the light occasionally. there was a silver lining on the dark waves before it crashed into a foam of white. with black velvet upon our feet as we streamed onto the beach. the sand got harder and darker the closer we went to the water, yet it was still dry. a few steps further, our feet met with the caress of the sea, touching our feet as if to welcome us to this experience. i looked down onto the sand with my feet barely soaked, and i saw the black sky, the white clouds and a tiny, but sparkling bright, star which was being chased by the the bright full moon. we sat down on the cold floor with our sights on the never ending sea. the 8 of us soaked in the experience of the pure shores. who would have thought perfection existed in the calm of night in a simple town. it was stunning. it was breathtaking. it was beautiful. |
